The former Chelsea and Real Madrid coach has revealed why he sets his time 20 minutes ahead.
Recently Jose Mourinho made his debut as a goalkeeper in last weekend's Game 4 Grenfell held at Loftus Road - as his side lost in the penalty shoot-out.
In an exclusive interview with The Times he said:
“I like to put pressure on myself," admitted Mourinho. "I like to take the watch and put it forward.
"At the moment it’s 2.30pm. If I have to be some place at 3pm, I tell myself it’s ten to three.
“In my job, too, I have done that. I accelerate the timings. I always think that a little bit of pressure is good.”
Manchester United were drawn alongside Benfica, Basel and CSKA Moscow in their Champions League group.
Manchester United host Basel at Old Trafford on Tuesday night. Phil Jones and Eric Bailly, who are both suspended.
On his side draw in the UEFA Champions League, he said:
“I think it’s a dangerous group," said Mourinho.
“If you go to the recent history of United, United lost against Basel, United couldn’t beat Benfica in two matches, I think also against CSKA Moscow the last time was 0-0 or 1-0 or something.
“I know the three places, I never played against Benfica in the Champions League but of course, I know the dimension and the quality.
“I played a few times against CSKA, I played against Basel too, I know the places. It’s not going to be easy.”
