Manchester City and Argentina striker Sergio Aguero has undergone minor knee surgery.
Manchester City have won the league following a loss of rival Manchester United to West Brom on Sunday.
This injury means Aguero will be forced to sit out meetings with Swansea, West Ham, Huddersfield, Brighton and Southampton if his campaign has come to a close.
"Recovering from an arthroscopy on my knee," Aguero tweeted.
"Fully motivated to get back soon to the field."
Argentina will be hoping that the striker will be fit for the World Cup in Russia in June.
Argentina's first match of the tournament is against Iceland on June 16.
