Brazilian full back, Dani Alves might miss the world cup in Russia this June. This is following confirmation from Paris Saint German that the former Barcelona and Juventus star suffered ligament injury.

Dani Alves was forced off in the 2-0 over Vendée Herbiers Foot in the Coupe de France cup Final on Tuesday.

According to the Ligue 1 Champions, Alves who joined from Juventus will be evaluated in three weeks time, to determine if a surgery is required.

The club confirmed today via Twitter saying: "After suffering a knock on his right knee during last night's @coupedefrance final, @DaniAlvesD2 underwent exams that confirmed an ACL injury. The player will be evaluated over the next three weeks before determining whether surgery is necessary."
