Crystal Palace came from behind to beat Stoke City 1-2 at the bet365 stadium on Saturday.
Shaqiri had curled a free kick in the 43rd minute for the Potters.
But Palace came strong in the second half as McArthur and Van Aanholt struck as Roy Hodgson side took all three points.
The result left Paul Lambert side with 30 points after 37 games with one game left to play.
