Jamie Vardy was presented with the Goal of the Season prize, voted for by Foxes fans, in acknowledgement of his first-time, left-footed volley during March’s 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion.
The 31-year-old striker, an England international, latched onto Riyad Mahrez’s fine pass to cushion the ball beyond Baggies goalkeeper Ben Foster from the edge of the area at The Hawthorns.
Elsewhere, City’s Performance of the Season, decided by manager Puel, was the superb 4-1 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s in December, when Shinji Okazaki (2), Mahrez and Andy King all found the net.
Following earlier successes against Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley and Newcastle United, a stellar display from Puel’s men on the south coast represented City’s fourth win in a row under the Frenchman.
