Super Eagles midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi has stated that he will be fit before Nigeria’s first 2018 World Cup game against Croatia.

Ndidi, who is back in Super Eagles training camp after copping a hamstring injury with his club side, Leicester City, said he’s recovering faster and looking forward to next month’s tournament in Russia.

”I will say I am good and fine. I am looking forward to the World Cup. We have so many friendly games. We have been preparing so hard not just now, we’ve been preparing for a long time,” Ndidi told allnigeriasoccer.

”We just look forward to it and then go all the way for it, every game is very important,” he said.

When asked if he will be fit for Nigeria’s World Cup opener against Croatia on June 16, Ndidi replied: ” Yes, by God’s grace”.

He added, ”All I have to say is for them to keep supporting the Super Eagles and then pray for the team. Just sit down, relax and enjoy the football.”

Ndidi will hope to feature in Gernot Rohr’s side when they face England on June 2 at Wembley, before facing Czech Republic in their final pre-World Cup game in Austria on 6 June.
