Harry Kane signs new six-year deal with Tottenham worth £90million

Harry Kane has become one of the Premier League’s top earners after signing a six-year deal at Tottenham that could be worth as much as £90million.

Only a fortnight after announcing a five-year contract for manager Mauricio Pochettino, Spurs chairman Daniel Levy has secured the services of his star striker. Deals for midfielders Dele Alli and Christian Eriksen are expected to follow.

‘I’m really excited, it’s a proud day,’ said Kane. ‘I’m looking forward to the future, to the new stadium first and foremost and just to keep progressing as a club.’

Kane added: ‘It’s been fantastic to consistently get in the Champions League, so I’m really excited to have another go at that and with the Premier League and FA Cup, we’ll look to go as far as we can. For us as a club, it’s just about keeping improving and we’ll work hard to do that.

‘I’m obviously really excited about the World Cup coming up, so it’s nice to get this done before that and I’m just looking to go out there and enjoy it now.

‘It’s been a great season. Like always, the aim is to try to improve, so hopefully I can do that this summer and obviously next season as well.’

Kane’s new deal comes on the back of Pochettino committing his future to the club with a five-year extension worth £8.5m a season. On the Argentine’s new deal, Kane said: ‘It’s a big boost and I’m looking forward to starting next season.’

Pochettino has already held face-to-face talks with Eriksen and Alli over their pending new deals.

Heung-min Son is also in discussions over a new contract, with the club hopeful of reaching an agreement to keep the Korean.
