Nigerian media personality and MC, IK Osakioduwa has revealed that he has 'NEVER' collected money from any artist to play their song on radio.
According to him, radio presenters who do it are heartless and not different from police officers who collect bribes.
his is not me bragging, this is me keeping it real. I’m not trying to put anybody down but sometimes we need to set a good example. In my entire radio career, #IHaveNever asked for money to play any artiste’s song on the radio.? ?I think it’s wrong. I think it makes life difficult for budding artistes to pay so much money that they haven’t made yet. It’s just heartless. There are other ways to make money as a radio presenter. I’m not saying this to shade anybody who’s doing it right now.? ?I’m just saying it to encourage you to not do it anymore. We can’t keep complaining about politicians and police men who take bribes if we’re going to be radio presenters who take money from people who make music which is our job to play. Positive ‘change’ can start with you.?
