Ex-Celta Vigo forward, Mido, has shed an incredible 37 kilos in weight and has jokingly called for a shock inclusion in Egypt's World Cup squad as a result.
He revealed that the taunting and insults he received from many people across social media inspired him to make the change in his life.
Taking to Twitter, Mido posted a photo of how much trimmer he is and made the plea to current Egypt boss Hector Cuper.
"Mr Cuper, I know you are desperate for a striker who can hold up the ball for you on the counter attack!!" he posted.
"I scored a goal every two games for Egypt so you can guarantee a goal from me at the World Cup out of the three games in our group!!"
