Germany are making the three-hour trip toRussia as they look to retain the World Cup following their success in Brazil four years ago.

Manuel Neuer, Mesut Ozil and Co had to make their way to their private plane in the rain at Frankfurt International airport.

Jerome Boateng took selfies as he shared a joke with his Germany team-mates while their plane was still on the tarmac.

The world champions haven't looked at their best in the build up to the World Cup with the Germans falling to a 2-1 defeat by Austria before edging out minnows Saudi Arabia 2-1 in their last friendly.

Manager Joachim Low will be hoping his side can replicate their form at the 2014 World Cup when they face Mexico, Sweden and South Korea in the group stages.

Low made a bold decision by leaving out Manchester City's Leroy Sane despite the winger playing a key role in his side's title win.

Sane has taken advantage of being left out of Germany's squad by chilling out with his girlfriend in California.

The 22-year-old appeared in heart-felt stream of videos that paid tribute to him as they were seen embracing and kissing each other as well as an image that showed Candice Brook — a model — wearing just a bikini.

'All year,' Brook wrote on Instagram followed by a trio of romantic emoji's.
