If news of the surprise engagement had reached Selena, 25, then she didn't look bothered as she relaxed with Theresa Marie Mingus on the trip outside New York.

Selena and Justin briefly rekindled their own romance earlier this year, leading fans to hope the pair would have a happily ever after, but things soon fizzled out.

Justin and Selena first started dating in 2009 but have been on and off for years.

Their most recent reunion came last year after Selena split from The Weeknd.

A source close to Selena's family explained to Us Weekly: "Selena and Justin decided to take a break mainly because of Selena’s mom and her disapproval of Justin."

Justin and Hailey only hooked up again last month after previously splitting two years before, and things appear to have moved rapidly ever since, with two eye witnesses spotting Justin going down on one knee last night.

TMZ reports how the pair were salsa dancing in the Bahamas when Justin asked everyone to put their phones away while he popped the question.
