Cuardado Reacts To Giving Up His No. 7 Jersey For Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo's £105million transfer to Juventus from Real Madrid is the biggest piece of business from this summer's window.

The Portuguese parted company with Los Blancos after nine years to start a new life in Italy, where he hopes to win silverware in three major European nations.

Upon signing for the club, Ronaldo was handed the number seven shirt, which he has worn since his Manchester United days, and made famous at Real Madrid.

Colombian midfielder Juan Cuadrado - up until very recently - was the owner of the shirt number, but was asked to give it up for Ronaldo.

Another player may have responded badly to this demand.

But it seems Cuadrado - who can clearly see the benefit in giving up something that, on the surface at least, is pretty insignificant if it means securing the signature of one of the world's best players - took it on the chin.

In fact he showed his class by taking things one step further, and posting an image of himself holding Ronaldo's shirt with the number seven on the back.

Alongside it he wrote: "It is more blessed to give than to receive. Blessing Cristiano Ronaldo in this new adventure."
