FIFA Men's Player 2018 nominees: Messi, Ronaldo, Mbappe, Kane and others made the cut as Neymar misses out

The world governing body for football has released the nominees list for the Best Player awards. France who lifted the world cup have been represented by three star players.



Meanwhile, the second runners up, Croatia, sees their captain Luka Modric pick a spot, and the Russia world cup young player of the year, Kylian Mbappe made the cut.

Rivals Ronaldo and Lionel Messi will go head to head for the award.Harry Kane helped England to fourth-place finish FIFA World Cup and WorldCup adidas Golden Boot winner.
