Chelsea forward Eden Hazard has agreed on personal terms with Real Madrid as he pushes to leave the Stamford Bridge outfit, according to report in RMC.
Hazard had a tremendous World Cup outing in Russia and his future with the Blues remains uncertain after reports say he had reached a verbal agreement with the European Champions.
Hazard helped Belgium to claim third in the World Cup playoff, and he gave a clear indication that he wants a switch to Real Madrid after six years at the Stamford Bridge. Hazard said
“Certainly after this World Cup. I can decide if I want to stay or go, but Chelsea will make the final decision – if they want to let me go. You know my preferred destination.”
Real Madrid is in search for a galacticos signing after the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus and it seems Hazard would be the easiest of all their targets as Paris Saint-Germain is not ready to let Neymar or Kylian Mbappe off the hook.
Hazard had two years left in his contract with Chelsea and he is unwilling to sign a contract extension with the Blues and his value will reduce drastically if he stays another season with Chelsea with signing a new deal.
According to reports in the media Chelsea has demanded £200 million from Madrid for Hazard. While Real Madrid has agreed on a £31m for his teammate Thibaut Courtois who is set to sign a four-year contract with the Santiago Bernabeu outfit.
