Photos: Mbappe handed PSG jersey no. 7

PSG wonderkid Kylian Mbappe was issued with a new squad number this week ahead of the 2018-19 season.

The 19-year-old was handed the No 7 shirt, after wearing No 29 during his debut campaign with the Paris giants.

Mbappe (pictured) will take the No 7 shirt after it was vacated by Lucas Moura in January
PSG broke the news of Mbappe's numerical switch on Twitter and Instagram by sharing a promotional video and using the hashtag #K7LIAN.

The video showed Mbappe using his left hand to make a No 7 — something that could well become part of a new trademark goal celebration.

Promotional footage also featured the slogan: 'FU7URE IS NOW'.

Mbappe wore 29 at former club Monaco and has also donned 20 and 12 for France.

But he wore No 10 on his back at this summer's World Cup in Russia, with Antoine Griezmann occupying the No 7 jersey in France's triumphant campaign.

No 7 has been vacant at PSG since Lucas Moura left to join Tottenham in January.

Other former No 7s at PSG include Ludovic Giuly and Brazilian forward Christian.
