Torreira confirms he's set to undergo medical at Arsenal

Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira has announced he's moving to Arsenal.

It's said that Sampdoria have accepted a fee from Arsenal for Torreira, who has a £22.5million release clause in his contract.


The 22-year-old will now jet to London from Russia after Uruguay's World Cup quarter-final defeat to France.

And he took to social media to share a post which stated: "Confirmed his arrival at Arsenal, confirmed that the English club wanted to do the medical review in the middle of the World Cup and added 'Happy to have been part of this squad' - Thanks Lucas, URUGUAY NOMA".
