Leicester City sign Algerian winger on four years deal from Monaco

Premier League outfit Leicester City have this evening confirmed that they have clinched a deal with Monaco over the signing of Rachid Ghezzal.



Ghezzal, a 26-year-old Algerian winger, only made the move to Monaco last summer, following 13 years with the principality outfit’s Ligue 1 rivals Lyon.

The African attacker subsequently went on to appear 26 times in the league last season, though just 7 of these came as starts, with Ghezzal’s erratic form having seen Leonardo Jardim generally opt for the likes of Keita Balde Diao and the now-sold Thomas Lemar instead.

All told, a down year for the 13-time capped international saw him rack up just 2 goals and 4 assists across all competitions.





Foxes have clinched a deal with Monaco for Ghezzal’s services, with the Algerian set to put pen to paper on a 4-year contract at the King Power Stadium, pending Premier League approval of the transfer:
