Nigeria’s women basketball team, D’Tigress lost their second classification playoff today 73-72 to Canada to finish in 8th place at the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Spain.
D’Tigress had lost their first classification playoff 64-82 to France 24 hours earlier as they desired to finish on a high note but were pegged back by Canada.
Nigeria’s 8th place finish at the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Spain is the best ever feat achieved by an African team.
