Hazard blocks Real Madrid from appointing Conte as manager

Eden Hazard played a row in Real Madrid’s decision to turn down their desire to hire Antonio Conte as Julen Lopetegui replacement.

This is according to Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda, Real Madrid sacked Lopetegui and he was “provisionally replaced” by Castilla coach Santiago Solari despite Conte being the favourite to take over from the Basque.

Conte was tipped to be the Real Madrid manager after his representatives held talk with president Florentino Perez prior to the El-Clasico on Sunday afternoon.

The proposed deal was halted due to some reasons and it was reported that Conte’s request cannot not be met but Inda claims Hazard was behind it.

The Belgian forward wants a move to Real Madrid but he does not want to work for under the management of Conte following their difficult time at Chelsea.

Inda claims the winger has indirectly communicated with Madrid that he ‘would never sign’ for the club if Conte was appointed.

Perez and his directors want to re-launch a bid for Hazard in January and they are aware they stand no chance to sign him if Conte is appointed.

Hazard criticised Conte’s style but he prefers playing under Maurizio Sarri and he insisted that he could play under former manager Jose Mourinho.
