Real Madrid announce 23 man squad for FIFA World Club Cup

Real Madrid manager Santiago Solari has announced the 23-man squad for the World Club Cup that would travel to the United Arab Emirates for the tournament with Jesus Vallejo left out of the list once again for the second year in a row.

Vallejo was unable to make the squad this time last year under the management of Zinedine Zidane due to injury and this time he has recovered on time but Solari decides to drop the 21-year-old centre back, yet the injured duo of Casemiro and Nacho made the squad that will jet off to UAE.

The tournament begins on the 12 and it will end on the 22nd of December, The European Champions will play their first in the semi-final stage on Wednesday the 19th, and the final will be played on Saturday the 22nd.

The squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Keylor Navas and Kiko Casilla.

Defenders: Dani Carvajal, Alvaro Odriozola, Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane, Nacho, Marcelo and Sergio Reguilon.

Midfielders: Casemiro, Marcos Llorente, Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, Isco, Marco Asensio, Dani Ceballos and Federico Valverde.

Forwards: Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale, Mariano Diaz, Lucas Vazquez and Vinicius Junior.
