Mesut Ozil's situation at Arsenal is becoming increasingly confusing after he was recently left out of the travelling squad for the Europa League.
The German was confirmed fit by the Gunners not long before the team was announced, but Unai Emery opted against making him travel to Belarus for the first round of Arsenal's last-32 clash with BATE Borisov.
Ozil took to Twitter after the match to post a cryptic message, which read: "When you start supporting a football club, you don't support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history, you support it because you found yourself somewhere there; found a place where you belong."
It's not clear whether Ozil's situation is set to improve at Arsenal , amid claims Emery is looking for a way to move the player on.
The Gunners are keen on loaning the midfielder out but Ozil is against this idea and is digging in his heels.
Ozil is on £350,000-a-week at Arsenal and this is proving to be a huge stumbling block for interested clubs, who would have to pay - at the very least - a large percentage of this.
According to the Daily Mail, members of the Gunners dressing room have a theory on why Emery is currently clashing with Ozil.
Emery had major problems with Neymar at Paris Saint-Germain, amid claims of a player power struggle at the club.
It has been suggested that the Spaniard wants to defend himself against a similar issue at Arsenal and is therefore refusing to give the German - who is arguably one of the club's most influential players - preferential treatment.
