PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has revealed Black Panther mask celebration after his second goal against Rennes was a tribute to his homeland, Gabon.

The Arsenal star, 29, scored twice in the 3-0 win as his side overturned a two-goal deficit to march into the Europa League quarter-finals.

Aubameyang - who's previously donned a Spider Man and Batman mask - had recently teased he was plotting a new mask-themed celebration and didn't disappoint at the Emirates.

After the game, Aubameyang revealed: "I needed the mask who represents me. It’s the black panther in Gabon.

"We call the national team of Gabon the panthers so it represents me."

Aubameyang had planned to unveil the Black Panther celebration against Manchester United on Sunday - only to lose it!

Earlier this week, the Gabon star claimed: “I had a special celebration planned but I couldn’t find my mask.

“I asked a member of the staff to put it in the back of the net but when I scored the penalty I couldn’t find it.

“But no worries. Maybe next time.”
