The draws for the champions league quarter finals, Semi Finals and Finals have been held and there are some intriguing matches to look forward to. Tottenham Hotspur were drawn against Premier League rivals Manchester City while last season finalists were drawn against Portuguese side Porto.
Manchester United were drawn against Barcelona but will have to play the the first leg at home despite being drawn away. The Red Devils are to play at home because both Manchester clubs cannot play at home in the same week.
Solskjaer will return to the scene of one of his most famous nights after Manchester United were drawn against Barcelona in the quarterfinals of this season’s Champions League.
Solskjaer’s 93rd-minute goal at Camp Nou in 1999 dramatically won the Champions League final for United in a 2-1 victory over Bayern Munich. Twenty years on, Solskjaer will be back in Barcelona for the second leg of the quarterfinal tie as coach of the Red Devils.
There is an all-Premier League clash between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City, with the first leg being only the second game Spurs will have played at their new home on the footprint of the old White Hart Lane.
