Former Super Eagles defender Shittu pens emotional note about late Agogo

Former Super Eagles defender Danny Shittu has penned emotional note about late Ghana international Junior Agogo.

Agogo died on Thursday at the age of 40, four years after suffering stroke.

Shittu played against Agogo at the quarter final of the 2008 Africa Cup of Nations, where the deceased score the winning goal that saw Ghana beat Nigeria 2-1.

The memories are still fresh in Shittu's mind as he wrote a long message about Agogo's death.

Taken at such a young age.
Never knew you personally but you are part of my memories both on and off the pitch.

"You were part of the boys I always bumped into in London in our young hay days. More importantly, you scored the winning goal in one of the biggest games I’ve ever played in, for Ghana against us (Nigeria) in front of a packed stadium in Ghana. That goal saved a lot of my close Ghanian friends like @juniornsiah & Kwabena from a lifetime of daily banter bragging 😂.

"I also played against you a few times in the English Leagues and you were always hard to mark or smash.

"To hear your gone is a shock to me.
Everyone reading this, you never know when it’s your time so my advise is make moments count, Make priorities, Make the time. Live your life. Make your gifts known.

"Make your voice heard. Make someone smile. Make the change. Make peace. Make sure to tell your people they are loved. Make sure to have no regrets. Make sure you are ready. Believe in God!
