The Senior Advocate of Nigeria also said his law firm, Festus Keyamo Chambers, is being managed by capable hands.

Keyamo tweeted, “Arrived my new office punctually this morning, which is key to motivate the workforce. It is a new challenge which I always wanted to experience.”

Keyamo is the representative of Delta State in the NextLevel cabinet of President Muhammadu Buhari. He took an oath of office on Wednesday and assigned a portfolio. He deputises the former governor of Akwa Ibom state and a former federal lawmaker Senator Godswill Akpabio.

Mixed reactions are still trailing the portfolio assigned to him. While some people said he should have been posted to the ministry that is relevant to his discipline, his admirers continue to wish him the best.

“First of all, congratulations then I think this issue of always Underutilizing our talents or even ignoring it totally seriously calls for concerns. You are a SAN Sir, and I would have thought your intelligence and exposure would be quite useful in the Justice ministry. Why ND?” Id Udofia a Twitter user said.

“I was loving you before you ventured into partisan politics at the risk of losing your dignity but now I am wishing you all the luck so you can succeed in your new assignment BUT only make sure you do the right things and not being a sycophant,” a Twitter user Dammy Francos.

Recalled that during Senate screening of the ministerial nominees, Festus Kayamo had specifically addressed issues bothering on justice delivery and management. Hopes were high in some quarters that he might be a good replacement for the returning Justice Minister and Attorney General of the Federation Abubakar Malami.

Some of his critics have also mocked him as a “Junior Minister” in the ministry of Niger Delta.

And Please, always remember to report to Abba kyari via @SenatorAkpabio, your Boss. The man you ones cross examined.😀😁😂😁

Rodney asked, “Oga will you still decentralize the Supreme Court from that chair? I told you now you know that you stake in Buhari’s government is defined by where you come from, what language you speak and where you worship not what you say at a Senate screening. Enjoy your work with Akpabio.”
