Puma Look to Continue Newcastle Partnership

Puma are interested in extending their decade-long association with Newcastle United but would have to undertake a club record deal with the English top-flight soccer side, according to the Newcastle Chronicle, reports, www.sportspromedia.com/.

The German sportswear manufacturer is in the final season of its contract with the Premier League outfit, having first signed up as kit supplier in 2010. The agreement was subsequently renegotiated in 2014 and worth UK£4 million (US$4.9 million) per year through to the 2019/20 campaign.

Puma is now considering extending its partnership beyond 2020, according to the report, although it is apparently one of several brands interested in working with the club.

Newcastle are apparently not intending to make an immediate decision on renewing with Puma, although, according to the Chronicle, the club's hierarchy are pleased with their working relationship with the brand.
