Born in Parma on 20 October 1965, Stefano Pioli started his coaching career in 1999. In 2006 he made his Serie A debut with Parma and subsequent professional experiences with other Serie A companies such as Chievo Verona, Palermo, Bologna, Lazio and Inter, before coaching Fiorentina since 2017. Stefano Pioli now joins Milan with a two-year contract.

As for his salary, it's reported that he will earn €1.5m this term, which will be upped to €2m in 2020-21 if they make Europe.

Pioli becomes the eighth Coach to have represented both Milan and Inter, following the likes of Leonardo and Giovanni Trapattoni.
