Bayern confirm that Niklas Süle has torn the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee. The defender will be operated today and will be sidelined for several months.
Official statement reads: "The center-back has suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during the away game in Augsburg on Saturday.
"This is the result of an in-depth investigation by club doctor Dr. med. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt.
"Süle will be operated on this Sunday."
