Spain's first match in 2020 will take place where their last match in 2019 was held - at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano.

La Roja will take on Germany on March 26 in what will be the first time Spain have played two consecutive games in Madrid since the 1982 World Cup, which was hosted by Spain.

Both matches back then took place at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu, where the national team were defeated 2-1 by Germany and then drew 0-0 with England.

The friendly against Die Mannschaft in March will be La Roja's third game at Atletico Madrid's new ground, following their 6-1 friendly victory over Argentina and the recent 5-0 win against Romania in qualification for the 2020 European Championship.

Three days after playing against Germany, which will mark Luis Enrique's return as head coach, Spain will face the Netherlands at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.

The last clash between La Roja and the Germans was back in March 2018, when they drew 1-1 with goals by Rodrigo Moreno and Thomas Muller.

Meanwhile, the most recent time Die Mannschaft played a game on Spanish soil was back in 2014 at the Estadio de Balaidos, in a 1-0 win over La Roja with a Toni Kroos goal.

Spain haven't lost a game at any of Atletico Madrid's grounds since 1946, with the last defeat being a 1-0 loss at the hands of Ireland.
