The Rolling In The Deep singer bought the sprawling country estate in East Grinstead for a cool £4 million in 2017.

However according to The Sun, a mystery financier purchased the property for £3 million last year meaning a £1 million loss for Adele. The musician is said to have put the house up for sale following her split from Simon in April 2019.

Built in the 18th century, the mansion includes an impressive eight bedrooms, a tennis court and sits on a staggering 48 acres of land. It’s said that Adele was attracted by the seclusion of the property.

Sources say the 31-year-old singer still owns properties around the UK, including a flat in West London and a house elsewhere.

These days, Adele spends the majority of her time in Los Angeles and lives close to her estranged husband Simon so they can easily co-parent their six-year-old son Angelo.

It comes after reports that Adele was granted her request to have their divorce settlement remain private.

The British singer confirmed her split from Simon after eight years together and three years of marriage, but they remain amicable. A rep said in a statement at the time: ‘Adele and her partner have separated.

‘They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.’

A judge in Los Angeles reportedly granted Adele’s privacy request regarding their divorce, meaning that ‘financial, sales or other confidential business information’ will be kept under wraps and those who require access to those details will likely have to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

An insider told the publication: ‘Hollywood divorces can drag on for years and become extremely ugly. Adele and Simon clearly don’t want that.

‘They are both committed to keeping the details as private as possible for the sake of their son. They are trying to work out their issues.’

It has been widely reported that the pair did not have a prenup, and could split their $180 million (£144 million) combined fortune in half.

Adele was said to have bought a Los Angeles property last May for over $10.6million (£8.53million), not too far from Simon.
