*Real Madrid's first Youth League title since it's inaugural year in 2013.
*Real Madrid recorded a 3-2 win against Benfica in the final in Nyon.
It was goals from Pablo Rodriguez and Miguel Gutierrez goals and an Henrique Jocu's own goal that gave Real Madrid Castilla the win on the night days ago.
Meanwhile, Florentino Pérez who was in attendance as Real Madrid clinched the Youth League at the Colovray Stadium in Nyon (Switzerland) has expressed his delight of seeing his team win the silverware for the first time.
It's been a good season for the Los Blancos, as their first team which is tutored by Zinedine Zidane won the La Liga title.
Perez reflected after the game saying: “I've had a great time. Everything requires an awful lot of hard work and sacrifice. These young lads have played four games inside nine days and no matter how strong and youthful they might be, that is significant. We're delighted to be here in Nyon lifting our first Youth League”.
“This serves to highlight something we work very hard on, in our academy. It's hugely important to us. We've already seen many players plying their trade around the world, in Spain and of course in our first team. This encourages us to continue our focus on something we strongly believe in and always have, which is our academy”.
