Barcelona 2019-2020 season came to an end following their exit from the Champions League.

The La Liga gaints have endured a struggling season after losing their title defse to their rival as well as changing the coaches in the same season but managed a second place finish behind league winners, Real Madrid.

Quique Setien came on board but results didn't change as they ended up crashing out of Champions League in a disastrous fashion.

Bayern Munich outclassed Barcelona in the quarter final of the Champions League which cost Setién his job.

Lionel Messi wasn't able to creat a clear chance for his side after the game.

The frustration of the Argentine was noticed by Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies.

18 years old winger turned full back man marked Messi all through the game as he kept the Argentine quiet all 90 minutes.

 Thomas Muller scored twice in the first half as well as goal from Serge Gnabry and Ivan Perisic gave Bayern 4-1 lead after Alaba had scored an own goal.

In the second half, Lewandowski alongside Joshua Kimmich and Philippe Coutinho brace completed the emphatic win.

Although Luis Suarez solo goal was insignificant as the goal margin was too wide for Setién side to stage a comeback.

Alphonso Davies revealed that he approached Lionel Messi for his shirt after the game but he declined.

"I asked for it but I think he was a little bit upset," the left-back told BT Sport. "It's OK, next time hopefully."
