The Gunners continued to drop points and there was players unrest in the dressing room.

The decision was made and the former Sevilla and PSG boss was shown the exit door.

Mikel Arteta who once played and captained Arsenal came back to the set up and turned things around.

The former Everton star guided the club to finish eight position and picked up a spot in the Europa League for next season after winning the FA Cup.

Last month, the Arsenal won their first silverware of the 2020-21 season with a victory against Liverpool in the Community Shield.
It's been gathered that Mikel Arteta's job title has changed from head coach to first-team manager. This means that he has been given more control in the technical aspect of the Arsenal's first team.
