Barcelona confirms Alena will wear No.6 and Trincao No.17

Barcelona have announced their squad numbers for the 2020/21 campaign, with Carles Alena taking the famed No.6 shirt, whilst Francisco Trincao will wear No.17.

This will be Alena's fifth different squad number since he made his debut with the senior team, yet now he will wear the number that Xavi and Dani Alves both had.

Pedri has emerged as one of the brightest hopes for Los Cules' future after a strong 2019/20 season on loan, and he will wear the No.16 which was vacated by Moussa Wague.

Trincao has taken Antoine Griezmann's No.17, showing how the Portuguese forward will be utilised in the first team this term, having impressed in a very short pre-season.

Griezmann is now wearing No.7, which was open after Luis Suarez left Barcelona, whilst Philippe Coutinho and Miralem Pjanic have taken No.14 and No.8, respectively.
