Carabao Cup: Tammy Abraham and Callum Hudson Odoi leads Chelsea's attack against Barnsley

    

Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the campaign at the hands of Liverpool at the weekend. Frank Lampard will be determined to get back to winning ways tonight. The Blues were knocked out in the fourth round of the EFL Cup last season by Manchester United. Chelsea have not won the EFL Cup since 2015 and Lampard will see it as an opportunity to pick up a first trophy win in his tenure at Stamford Bridge.

Barnsley have been impressive in the EFL Cup in the opening two rounds of the competition, beating Nottingham Forest and Middlesbrough to progress to the third round. However, their form in the Championship has poor to start the season, losing to Luton and Reading in their opening two matches. Gerhard Struber will want to see a response from his team this evening after their loss to the Royals at the weekend.
