Tottenham Hotspur fans were thrown into frenzy mode when new filtered through that Gareth Bale has completed the deal to join the club.

It's been confirmed that the Wales international move to north London side on a season loan deal.

He returns to a familiar ground after seven years which saw he move to join Real Madrid for a then world record fee.

He hasn't been able to find his feet I Spain due to injuries and under Zinedine Zidane, he hasn't been preferred in the French boss squad.

Although, coach Zinedine Zidane has played down any rumour of rift between him and Bale.

Bale believes Jose Mourinho whom he played under before at Real Madrid played a huge role in convincing him to join Tottenham.
He told BT Sport: "He's spoken to me about a few positions that he would like me to play and obviously I'm happy with that.

"He was a big reason for me coming back here, he's a household name and a winner. He's the perfect fit for Tottenham. We need to win trophies and he knows how to do that better than anyone

"I know every Tottenham fan is desperate for a trophy and we'll be trying as hard as possible in every competition to do that."

Bale is currently injured with a knee whole he was playing for Wales this month. The forward has been ruled out for four weeks.


On his injury he said: "I haven't trained since the Wales camp so I need to get on the training pitch. Hopefully, I can hit the ground running in my first game, whenever that may be.


Bale also spoke on the feeling of playing along with Harry Kane and Heung Mi Son I attack of Tottenham.

"Harry's done incredibly well since he burst onto the scene and scored a lot of goals. To play with him and Son is an exciting prospect for all of us. If we're all pushing in the same direction it could be a very exciting season," he said.
