Chelsea begin their 2020-21 Premier League season on a winning note. The Blues seems to have out behind the last season of finishing fourth in the league and without a trophy at the end of the campaign.
Frank Lampard side travelled to the Amex stadium on Monday night to face Brighton Hove Albion. The English boss named a strong starting eleven, with new signings Ben, Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva missed out due to injuries.
Chelsea controlled the game after Recee James gave them a two goals lead after Brighton had equalised few minutes after Jorginho penalty.
The third goal which sealed the victory was completed when Kourt Zuma scored just before the end of the game.
Timo Werner joined the Blues from RB Leipzig, he was joined in attack along with Kai Havertz who also moved from Bayern Leverkusen.
Timo who was a proven goal scorer in Germany for Leipzig last season as he guided them to finish in third in Bundesliga created the first goal for Chelsea.
The German international connected to a pass from Havertz and rounded the goalkeeper, Ryan who brought him down in the box for the penalty.
Jorginho stepped up and dispatched with style as the Blues opened their goal account.
Timo took to his page to express delight of making his debut for Chelsea, he captioned: "Incredibly happy about our win and my Premier League debut!"
