The transfer saga of Lionel Messi has continued to flood the Internet over the past week days.


Weeks ago, the Argentine international submitted a transfer request to leave the club where he has been over two decades.

Lionel Messi has become a face of Barcelona, winning numerous titles on several occasions.

But last season, saw the club ended the campaign without a silverware. The frustration of the style of play of former manager, Quique Setién saw the club lose 8-2 to Barcelona in the Champions League quarter final stage.

It's understood that Barcelona aren't interested in selling their captain this summer despite having a €700m release clause in his current deal.

The captain of Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos has given his opinion on the ongoing tussle between Messi and his club.

Ramos believes that the player has earn his right to decide his future at the club as he supports Messi move.

Sergio Ramos is currently on international duty for Spain ahead of their Nations League games against Germany and Ukraine respectively.

"It's something that we're not focused on but the player has earned the right to be able to decide on his future," Ramos said.

"Having said that, for the Spanish game and for Barca and for the rest of us, we'd like him to stay as we always want the best around."

Real Madrid came from behind to peep Barcelona to the La Liga title last season with Sergio Ramos being an inspirational figure to coach Zinedine Zidane side.

Ramos future at the Santiago Bernabeu is yet to be settled but he also believes that he will eventually come to an agreement over a new deal with the club.

"It's something that we have yet to address but something that neither I or those at the club are anxious about," Ramos said.

"I've spent years with Real Madrid and never really contemplated leaving and am confident that we'll reach a mutually suitable arrangement. My focus is now on preparing for a solid season ahead."
