Chelsea have been one of the most active clubs in the transfer window this summer as Frank Lampard hopes to solidify his squad ahead of next season.
The 2020-21 season in the Premier League will kick off in September 12 but Chelsea will face Brighton Hove Albion on 14th of September.

Frank Lampard managed the West London outfit to finish in the top four last season as they sealed a spot in the UEFA Champions League for next season .

Last night, the Blues sent their fans in frenzy mode after they got their long time target in Kai Havertz.

Kai Havertz reportedly flew into London to complete the deal despite being on international duty for Germany.

The 21 years old has stated that he signed for Chelsea because he wanted to learn from head coach Frank Lampard.

"Of course he had a big impact on my decision because I loved him as a player and watched him very often, and I think I can learn from him now he is a manager as well," Havertz told Chelsea's website.

"I think he is a very humble person and a great guy and I can’t wait to play with him and learn from him.

"He was very offensive like me and he loves to score goals, and I love to score goals as well so I think he will help me a lot in my position. Also maybe on the things that I can improve and I can’t wait to work with him."

The German born play maker also added that the privilege to play along side  Germany national team in a foreign land was another option for him.

Chelsea already have Antiono Rudiger and Timo Werner who play for the German national team.

"I think it is very exciting because Chelsea has very young players and I know some of the players like Timo [Werner] and Toni [Rudiger]," he said.

"I have played with them in the national team and they are good friends of mine and so I think this is very good for me.

"Also that Chelsea have very young players and English players and that is very nice and a big project. Hopefully we can have many successes."
According to Goal, Havertz signed for a fee worth £70 million ($91m) including add-ons from Bayern Leverkusen on a five years deal.

"I want to achieve as much as possible, I try to do my best and of course it is a very big step," Havertz said.

"For me it is a new country, a new culture and it is difficult maybe in the first two or three weeks, but then I think I just want to play football and have fun with the boys.

Werner, Ben Chilwell, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva also having arrived.

"Of course I want to have big success and we want to win titles here. Chelsea is always a big club and they want to win titles and I try to do my best so we can achieve these things."
