Arsenal fans have continued to question the reason behind the club decision to "freeze out" Mesut Özil from the squad.
The German international is currently the most creative player for the Gunners since he joined from Real Madrid.
He joined for then club-record deal worth £42.5 million (€50 million) from Real Madrid in 2012-2013 season which saw he set a record of being the most expensive German player.
The 31 years old helped end Arsenal's nine-year trophy drought, winning the FA Cup in 2014. He also made double figures of assist in his first season in the Premier League.
Since Arsene Wenger left the Emirates stadium in 2017, he has fallen out of favour with Unai Emery who managed for two years.
Also, new boss Mikel Arteta hasn't played the German since the league restarted in June.
Mesut Özil posted a throwback of his unveiling which featured former manager, Arsene Wenger as he credited the French boss.
Özil is currently Arsenal's most paid player with a weekly wages of 300,000 pounds and has stated that he will see out his contract with two years left despite the club's move to force the player out.
