Manchester United seems to be getting closer to their first signing in the summer window 2020.

The Reds finished the season in third place as they secured a spot in the Champions League for next season.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is keen to add to his midfield ahead of next season. The 2020-21 season is expected to kick off in September 12.

Although Manchester United has been given a week extension due to their participation in Europa League which they were knocked out by Sevilla who were eventual winners.

According to Sky Sports, Manchester United have agreed to sign Donny Van De Beek from Ajax.
The 23-year-old midfielder has completed his medical in Holland ahead of a £40million move to Old Trafford.

Van De Beek is currently on international duty with Netherlands ahead of their Nations League games coming up this week.

Van de Beek has been named in the Netherlands squad for their upcoming Nations League games at home to Poland and Italy.

Apparently, Van Dijk has praised the Ajax graduate ahead of his move to England.

'I wish Donny the best wholeheartedly,' Van Dijk told De Telegraaf.

'It is great for him and for the Dutch national team.'

Recall that weeks ago, Dutch international Nathan Ake joined Manchester City from Bournemouth and Van Dijk believes the move is a big deal for the youngsters due to the club's history.

He added: 'It's a great club and step for Donny, and the same goes for Nathan Aké (to Manchester City).'
