Wijnaldum agrees to join Ronald Koeman at Barcelona

There have been a change at the dug out of Barcelona which has since changes in the Sporting director office as well as managerial position.

Barcelona seems to be undergoing reconstruction after Ronald Koeman was appointed as the new manager following Quique Setién sacking after exit from Champions League last season in the quarter final stage against Bayern Munich.

The Dutch international left his position as coach of Netherlands national team. He reported to first training session on Monday with over 17 players yet to resume due to holiday breaks, injuries and some seeking transfer exit.

It's been gathered that Koeman is set to sign his first player. Liverpool's Georginio Wijnaldum has reportedly agreed personal terms with Barcelona, according to Sport.

The Dutch midfielder wants a reunion with his former manager Ronald Koeman.

Liverpool are requesting transfer fee of £18million for the 29-year-old.

Wijnaldum has entered the final year of his contract at Liverpool and signing an extension deal isn't certain.

Wijnaldum has scored 19 goals in 187 matches for Liverpool since joining the club from Newcastle four years ago.
