The second half had less goalmouth action, with Atalanta sitting deeper and not looking to attack as much as the first period, but they did manage to get a fourth, with Miranchuk firing into the back of the net late on.
Atalanta are now top of Group D, after Liverpool beat Ajax 1-0 in the other game. Atalanta will now turn their attentions back to Serie A, as they face Sampdoria on Saturday, before welcoming Ajax next Tuesday. Meanwhile Midtjylland face Brondby at the weekend, before travelling to Anfield next week to face Liverpool.
