Former Arsenal star is yet to full display his abilities at Liverpool since he moved to the club. The midfielder progress at the club has been disturbed by series of injuries and it's been frustrating for Oxlade Chamberlain.

If you recall that Arsenal sanctioned the transfer of Oxlade Chamberlain to Anfield stadium in the summer of 2017.

Chamberlain spent six years at Emirates Stadium playing 198 appearances and scoring 20 goals for the Gunners.

The English international is known for his blistering pace and powerful shooting range but he has spent most part of last season on the treatment table.

Liverpool clinched the Premier League title for the first time in 30 years last season and Chamberlain has been struggling with a knee problem.

Chamberlain has been able to only play 83 games for the past three seasons at Liverpool.

Meanwhile, former Liverpool goalkeeper, Chris Kirkland, believes Arsenal allowed the English international leave the Emirates due to his fitness issues.

The former Liverpool star admitted that Chamberlain has scored some world class goals for Arsenal and Liverpool but due to reoccurring injuries, he has been unable to fully utilize his potential.

“We’ve seen him score goals and obviously had some horrendous luck with injuries,” ex-Liverpool keeper Kirkland told FootballFanCast.

“I mean, if he was fit, Arsenal would never have sold him for one thing you know. They sold him because he couldn’t stay fit.

“But for me he’s an exceptional player and I’d love to see him stay fit.”
