Liverpool haven't endured a easy campaign following series of injuries to their first team players.
Last season, the Anfield outfit clinched the Premier League title with 18 points gap last season, as they lifted the title for the first time since 30 years.

But the defense hasn't started on a smooth patch, as Jurgen Klopp's back line has been hit with series of injuries.

Liverpool were able to recorded a comfortable 3-0 win against Leicester City on Sunday night to stretch their winning run to 46 games unbeaten.

Jurgen Klopp had six players missing from the game but the German boss held his own as he show class and spirit of champions.

But the Reds will face Atalanta in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

It's been reported that Mohamed Salah will be fit for the game. The Egyptian has recovered from coronavirus after he tested positive for the deadly virus weeks ago.

The Egyptian FA announced that Salah rested positive while he was on international duty.

The former Chelsea and Roma forward was pictured in training at Liverpool’s new training ground at Kirkby.

Klopp told reporters: “Mo trained with the team yesterday and looked really good. All the tests were negative so now, if nothing changes, he’s available, which is good.

“Now we have to see what we do, because he was quarantined until three days ago.”

It's also been gathered that Captain Jordan Henderson (groin) and defender Trent Alexander-Arnold (calf) will miss the game against Atalanta.

Also, Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez, Robertson are long term with knee injuries.

While Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain andThiago Alcantara are still recovering from their injuries.

The manager added that there are no new injuries but hints that a player is close to return but he didn't reveal the identity.

“All the rest, no news,” Klopp said. “One looks closer, the other not so close, that’s how the situation is. We will see who is available.

“I don’t want to speak too much about it because I have no idea who Atalanta can bring, so why should we give any kind of information to them?”
