Ole Gunnar Solskjaer side sealed their spot in the semi final all thanks to Edinson Cavani and Anthony Martial who both scored in the final 20 minutes of the game.
There were teo moments in the game which many Everton fans weren't happy about the referee decision.
Manchester United forward, Edinson Cavani should have been sent off after he was caught grabbing the throat of Everton defender Yerry Mina.
The Uruguay international escaped the referee punishment and went ahead to fire Manchester United in the lead.
Also, Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly was judged to have injured Richarlison. The Ivorian was involved in a clumsy aerial challenge with Richarlison after Bruno Fernandes pushed the Brazilian defender.
Although, the challenge saw Richarlison show signs of unconsciousness and he was attended to by the medical team.
He couldn't continue the game and he was replaced.
After the game, Eric Bailly has offered a heartfelt apology to Richarlison. Bailly took to his social media space to post his personal conversation with Richarlison.
The solid defender sent his well wishes to the strikeras he hope he recovers well.
He captioned: "I'm sorry mate, take care of your health little brother, you are the best".
