Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi has reached out to thanked Mesut Ozil, this comes after the German paid mamed him as the most under-rated player he has played with.
Mesir Ozil did a Q and A with supporters on Twitter on Wednesday night, and one fan asked the midfielder to select the most underrated player he has played with.
The German replied, selecting fellow Arsenal outcast Guendouzi, who has fallen out with Mikel Arteta last season.
Ozil tweeted: "@MatteoGuendouzi - I'm sure he will be a big football player one day!" and the France under-21 international has responded, expressing his thanks.
Meanwhile, Guendouzi tweeted: "Thank you my bro @MesutOzil1088. You know how much these words are important for me especially from you, one of the best player in the world and the best I played with."
Just so you know, Ozil hasn't played for Arsenal since March with Arteta leaving him out of his Premier League and Europa League squads.
Meanwhile, Guendouzi is playing in Ozil's homeland for Hertha, making eight Bundesliga appearances so far this season with his side currently in 14th.
