Arsenal have signed Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan

It looks like Mikel Arteta has started preparing for the second half of the season with the arrival of a new goalkeeper.
The Gunners didn't enjoyed a good first half of the season as they dropped to the 15th position. But since December, Arsenal recorded three straight victories which started against Chelsea on Boxing day.

Arsenal are currently in 10th position at the moment in the league, but the manager has decided to provide cover for his number one goalkeeper, Bernd Leno. 

It's been confirmed that Mat Ryan has joined the Gunners on loan until the end of the season from Brighton Hove Albion.
The Australian international has been a long time fan of the Gunners since his childhood days. 

It's understood that Runar Runarsson who joined the club in the summer hasn't impress and might be on his way out of the club. 

Mat Ryan will wear No.33 for the Gunners,which was previously worn by Petr Cech who left three years ago to take over a coaching role at Chelsea.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta told the Gunners' official website: “We know Mat very well through his performances with Brighton in recent seasons and he brings additional quality to our squad.

"Mat has very good Premier League experience and has played over 100 times in the league, which is something that will benefit us greatly on and off the pitch. We welcome Mat to Arsenal and look forward to working with him this season.”
