Bayern Munich duo of Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez have tested positive for coronavirus

Bayern Munich coach Hansi Flick confirmed that Leon Goretzka and Javi Martinez have tested positive for the coronavirus. The duo are confirmed to be out for tomorrow’s fixture, and will enter quarantine. 

The Bavarians will face Hoffenheim tgis weekend in the Bundesliga. 

They are the third and fourth players to test positive at Bayern this season, after Serge Gnabry and Niklas Sule tested positive earlier in the season. 

Goretzka took to his Twitter page to stated that he has tested positive for coronavirus despite following all the safety precautions. 

He urged his fans to be careful as they could do their family and loves ones a whole lot good. 

He tweeted: "Corona is like football. A single contact is enough to turn everything upside down.

 I kept to the corona rules at all times. Still, I've tested positive. Please protect yourself, your family & third parties. We can only beat Corona together!#WeKickCorona"
