It looks like Manchester United have gotten their ideal number nine when it comes to the striker's position following the arrival of the Uruguay international.
The former Napoli striker completed a year deal with an extension for a further year with Manchester United from the Paris Saint-Germain in the summer.
Edinson Cavani left the Parc Des Princes as a free agent as he moved to Old Trafford and has since made his mark especially when he often comes off the bench.

According to him, the celebration has connection with his native country, Uruguay and his baby girl, India.
“It’s a bit of a long story and it’s kind of wrapped up in our country’s history, and the indigenous population, the Charrúas,” Cavani told the United Review .
“When my little daughter, India, was born, her name is just a small reference to our native Uruguayans, the Charrúas.
Just so you know, Cavani has scored five times in 17 outings across all competitions for the Red Devils so far this season.
Cavani added: “So that arrow that I take out and then fire, is a goal celebration that sort of encapsulates all these things: a mix of my daughter’s name and the indigenous peoples of my country.
“It has a special meaning, but like you say, Eric reminded me of it, even though at the end of each celebration, I always make sure I take out the arrow and fire it.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United are back in the FA Cup fourth round this weekend when they face Liverpool on Sunday evening.
Cavani will be hoping to get selected in the forward option by the manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
